Terms & Conditions

1. Identification & Driver Requirements

• Drivers must present a valid driver’s license and South African ID (for local residents) or a passport and international driver’s permit (for non-South African residents).
• Only the renter and approved additional drivers may operate the vehicle.
• The renter must provide a valid credit card in their name for security purposes.

2. Restrictions & Driving Experience

• Drivers must be 28 years or older to rent a luxury vehicle.
• A minimum of 5 years of driving experience is required.
• Certain high-performance or exotic models may require an additional security check or higher deposit.

3. Rental Rates & Daily Calculation

• Rental rates are calculated per 24-hour period, starting from the time of vehicle collection.
• A grace period of 1 hour is allowed for vehicle return. If the vehicle is returned beyond this grace period, an additional full day’s rental rate will be charged.
• Minimum rental period: 24 hours.
• Rates vary based on vehicle category:
  • Luxury Sedans & SUVs: R5,000 – R15,000 per day
  • Sports Cars & Supercars: R15,000 – R50,000 per day
• Special discounts may apply for multi-day rentals (e.g., 7-day or monthly bookings).

4. Security Deposit & Excess Fees

• A refundable security deposit will be charged based on the vehicle class:
  • Luxury Sedans & SUVs: R20,000 – R50,000
  • Supercars & High-Performance Vehicles: R75,000 – R150,000
• The deposit is refunded within 7 business days after the vehicle is returned, provided there are no damages, fines, or additional fees.
• The renter is responsible for the insurance excess in case of an accident or damage.

5. No Smoking & Valet Charges

• Smoking is strictly prohibited in all vehicles.
• A R1,500.00 valet fee will be charged for any smoke-related odors or excessive dirt inside the car.

6. Fuel Policy

• All vehicles are provided with a full tank of premium fuel.
• The vehicle must be returned with a full tank, or the renter will be charged for refueling at the current pump price plus a convenience fee of R500.00.

7. Mileage & Driving Restrictions

• The standard rental includes a 150 km/day mileage limit.
• Additional kilometers will be charged as follows:
  • Luxury sedans & SUVs: R20/km
  • Sports cars & Supercars: R50/km
• Unless expressly authorized, the vehicle may not be driven beyond a 150-kilometer radius from Cape Town.
• Travel outside this radius requires prior written approval and may incur additional fees or security measures.
• Off-road driving, track racing, or reckless driving is strictly prohibited.

8. Delivery & Collection

• Vehicle delivery is available within Cape Town and surrounding areas at the following rates:
  • Cape Town City & Airport: R650.00
  • Greater Cape Town & Winelands: R1,200.00
  • Further distances (on request) – subject to special rates.
• A minimum fee of R350.00 applies for vehicle collection.

9. Insurance & Liability

• All vehicles are fully insured with comprehensive cover.
• The renter is responsible for any insurance excess, which varies depending on the vehicle category.
• Any accident or damage must be reported within 12 hours, along with a police report if applicable.
• Negligence, reckless driving, or unauthorized driver use will result in full liability for damages.

10. Fines, Tolls & Traffic Violations

• The renter is responsible for any traffic fines, toll fees, or penalties incurred during the rental period.
• An administration fee of R250.00 per fine applies for processing.

11. Cancellation Policy

• 31+ days before booking: 100% refund, minus a 5% handling fee.
• 15–30 days before booking: 25% refund, minus a 5% handling fee.
• Less than 15 days before booking: No refund.

12. Booking & Payment Terms

• A 50% deposit is required to secure the booking (for rentals 31+ days in advance).
• Full 100% payment is required at least 30 days before the rental date.
• Payments must be made via EFT or credit card (no cash payments accepted).
• The security deposit must be paid before vehicle collection.

13. Privacy Policy

We are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data in accordance with South African data protection laws (POPIA – Protection of Personal Information Act).

• Personal Information Collected:
  • Full name, ID/passport details, driver’s license information.
  • Contact details (email, phone number, address).
  • Payment information (credit card details, billing information).
  • Rental history and preferences.

• Purpose of Data Collection:
  • To process bookings and payments securely.
  • To verify driver eligibility and prevent fraud.
  • To comply with legal and insurance requirements.
  • To improve customer service and vehicle rental experience.

• Data Sharing:
  • Personal information may be shared with law enforcement agencies, insurance companies, or financial institutions if required by law.
  • We do not sell or rent customer data to third parties.

• Data Security:
  • We use secure payment processing systems and encryption to protect sensitive customer data.
  • Only authorized personnel have access to stored customer information.

• Customer Rights:
  • Customers have the right to request access to their personal information.
  • Customers may request the deletion or correction of their data, subject to legal and contractual obligations.

14. Disputes & Legal Proceedings

• If a dispute arises, the parties agree to resolve it via arbitration before pursuing legal action.
• The renter consents to the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court, but the owner may take action in a High Court division if necessary.
• The owner reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement and recover the vehicle immediately if terms are violated.
